Zolabuddé
In the late 2000’s Fabio and Dogstarr were close friends and had been performing as part of Digital Rockit for years. But it wasn’t until 2009 when the two were approached to create a remix of a Farryl Purkiss track that the need for a name came about. Zolabuddé was one of the first names that came to mind, and it worked, so they (pardon the pun) ran with it.
Fast forward to years later and it’s still working. The guys say it’s because they have an intrinsic understanding of each other’s music and style, which means they feed off, and compliment each other, creating journey based sets that are an eclectic mix of techno, disco and electronica. You could say that if Digital Rockit is the happy nuclear family, Zolabuddé’s the love child whose parents don’t let it out of the house very often, and only when the neighbours aren’t looking.
